As a family owned business, Bill Kidd’s has been dedicated to providing the best customer service. Our goal is to make each customer feel welcomed and at ease when walking through the door. Employees are proud to work for Bill Kidd's and many of them have been with the organization for over a decade.
History
Over 50 years ago, Bill Kidd, Sr. opened a used car showroom on Bel Air Road. Bill Kidd, Jr. sold cars while Bill Kidd, Sr. ran what would grow to be a well-known, successful dealership with a great reputation for customer satisfaction. In 1973, Timonium Toyota was opened on a two acre lot on York Road in Cockeysville. Sales grew quickly and Timonium Toyota consistently placed 2nd or 3rd in the mid-Atlantic Region every month. Volvo soon joined our family, and another lot was purchased right next door. In 1985, Bill Kidd, Jr. was promoted to General Manager.
By the late 1990’s, space was limited on the property and a new state of the art service facility was built at 107 Industry Lane. The new service center, which is over two acres in size, provides over 40 service bays and a built in car wash.
In 2002, Toyota introduced Scion. Bill Kidd’s Timonium Toyota was excited to take on the new franchise, as soon as it was available on the east coast. A younger generation was captured by the unique vehicles that Scion offered, with the reliability and dependability of a Toyota. Scion’s pure price purchase experience, as well as their personalization philosophy, made the new franchise a huge success.
Today, Bill Kidd’s Toyota-Volvo-Scion is successfully owned and operated by Bill Kidd, Jr. Bill Kidd’s Volvo is the top volume dealership in the entire Mid-Atlantic region for all of 2007. We are the only Toyota dealership in the region to win the coveted President’s Award, the most prestigious honor, for the last 13 consecutive years. And, both the sales and service center has been rated #1 for customer service in the Baltimore area for two consecutive years.
