Giving Back to Our Community
Over the last 50 years, Bill Kidd’s Timonium Toyota has always played an active role in the community and continues to do so. We have supported the Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics, American Cancer Society, as well as local hospitals and high schools. Villa Maria is also extremely special to the Bill Kidd’s family. Recently, Bill Kidd, Jr. teamed up with Ravens kicker, Matt Stover, to raise money for The Villa Maria Continuum during the football season. And, every Christmas, a truck in the showroom is filled to the brim with toys and clothes to take to the children.
On Sunday, May 31st, we attended the Inaugural Half Marathon supporting the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center, at Timonium Fairgrounds. The 13.1 mile race attracted nearly 2,000 runners, raising thousands for what has been rated one of America's top cancer hospitals. The day started early with Governor Martin O'Malley kicking off the race, followed by a three band concert celebration, children's play zone, and exposition.
This April, we sponsored the 14th Annual March for the Animals, benefiting The Maryland SPCA. Families gathered together with their furry friends to walk the 1.5 miles at Druid Hill Park. Afterwards, there were several activites to enjoy with your pooch, such as a pet costume and an agility course. The day started at 10AM, with Baltimore's own Duff Goldman, from "Ace of Cakes," cutting the starting ribbon. For more information, or to make a donation, please visit their website here.
Bill Kidd's is also proud to participate in the Notre Dame Preparatory School's annual Blazer Dash. The 5K event provides scholarships and financial assistance to many deserving and talented NDP girls, who might not have gotten the educational opportunity otherwise. The 13th annual Blazer Dash Scholarship Run is scheduled for September 27th, 2009. Please join us in an effort to provide even more opportunities to these commendable young women.
